ORGiANISER'S NOTES Dramatie Society. — The newly formed Dramatie Society held its second Public Meeting on Thursday last to confirm the Constitution and Rules, and arrange for its immediate activities. The first Audition to ascertam' what talent there is among the Society^ 34 Acting Members wasi held on Tuesday, SeptemDeir 16th, Play-reading will start very shortly. All those desiring to join as acting or financial members please apply to the treasurer, Mr H. R. Gibson, c/o. Bank of New Zealand. Remember all ;profits from the Society7® first performances will go to theHall Fund. The Society would like to have a small orchestra for it® first performance, and would be pleased to receive the names of any persons who would care to help ir„ this direction. Miss Taupo Competition. — It has been suggested that a Mis® Taupo Competition should be run iri connection with the . Carnival and that the prize for the winner should be a trip through New Zealand, or if funds would allow, a return trip te> Australia. Please let us know what you think about this, and whether you think we should have a Mr Taupo Competition also. Working Bee. — It is hoped to get started on the^ working bee by next week-end but detailed information will be sent direct, to all those who have advised their intention of helping*. Any others willing to help please send. their names in to McLean7s, Outfitters, Tongariro Street. Spring Flower Show.^ — The Taupo Horticultural Society ho.lding the Fourth Spring Show in. Rickit's Hall on Thursday, September ,18th., and etfhibits at the end of the Show will be auctioned for the benefit of the Memorial Hall Fund. Even if you have visited the Show during the day don't forgef to be along by 8.30 p.m. to purchase some of these prize blooms. and at fhe same- time help to sweli the Fund. The Spa, Terraces and Wairakei Hotels please note — here is a unique opportunity to purchase flora.1 decorations for your Lounges, B.S.A. Dance. — As Cidvertised elsewhere in the "Times'7 the. R.S.A. are hofding their Annual Dance 011 Friday, September 26th. and for the first time* in Taupo there will be two Orchestras in attendance, so that patron® can have continuous dancing if the}T so desire. Novelty dances, good prizes and an excellent supper will be provided. Please note all profits are going to the Memorial Hall Fund. As there are only a limited number of tickets obtain them early at Armstrong's Draners, Stevens; Hardware, and Mr Carth Patchett- — thus avoiding dfsappointment.
