A CELEBRATED DANCER

As previously announced, Beth Dean, the celebrated dancer, is to favour Taupo with a visit and performance of he?.* art next month under the auspices of the Community Arts Service. Beth Dean's New Zealand I tour has been a succession of triumphs. She has played to packed houses and her last recital in Wellington was sold out well in advance. This talented and beautiful American artist and her very able associate, Yictor Carell, singer, have been brought to New Zealand by the Community Arts Service. A big factor in atfracting them to the Dominicn was their interest in Maori daneing* and culture. To make a closer study of this they have recently taken a few weeks' holiday on the East Coast which they found most rewarding.
