TAUPO GIRL GUIDES

The Taupo Girl Guides have been given a new interest to occupy their energies, namely the preparation for a concert to be given at Christmas time as a contribution to the public effort now being organised for the War Memorial Hall Fund. Several girls having passed their tests will be enrolled shortly, and three or four Second-class Guides are now quite ready to receive their badges. The first meeting of the 'Brownies" will take place on September 13th., in Rickit's 'Hall at 11 a.m. All mothers wishing to enrol their children are asked to attend. Brown Owl Judy Thompson will be in attendance. Lieut. Snooks has returned from a vacation of eight weeks, and the company is very pleased to welcome her back.
