TAUPO GOLF CLUB
A four-ball bogey was played by members of the Taupo Golf Club during the week-end and won by T. Sherning and E. Ryan in the countback from P. Brown and V. Wilson. The following scohes were returned: Sherning and Ryan 4 up, Brown and Wilson 4 up, Collctt and Pearse 2 up, Graham and George 1 up, Vedder and Smith 1 down, Young and Price 3 down, Hullten and Woodward 3 down, G. Young and Wright 1 down. On Thursday, August 7 the ladies played the third round of the Neame Trophy, the best scores returned being: — Mrs Bush 25pts., Mrs Hullten 23, Mrs Douglas 16. On Wednesday and Thursday of tbis week Mr Southerden of The Napier Club travelled to Taupo to coach loea! nlayers. Sixteen members took this advant&ge to have lessons.
