TAUPO BUSINESSMEN'S ASSOCIATION
Matters Of Interest The monthly meeting of the Taupo Businessmen's Association was heid last Friday evening. In reply to a letter from the R.S.A. two delegates were appointed to represent the association at the Memorial Hall Ways and Means meeting to be held next Thursday., The progress re children's playground was discussed. Several donations were offered and there now remains a joint committee meeting before action wiii be commenced. Launch owners' problems re excusion trips were discussed. The association fully understands the difficulties of the launch owners and whatever scheme is brought forward will he heartily supported by the businessmen. Speedboat problems re raciiig on the Lake Front were then discussed and this is to be put to a general meeting. It is hoped to get a number of good boats here this year and make it one of the big days of the holiday season. It was dccidecl to hold the general meeting on August 19th. The state oi Putaruru Road, milk supply, horses on the streets, were topics of general discussion.
