TAUPO POLICE COURT

Before Messrs V. J. Eail and W. Kent, Justices, on Wednesday last. July 2, Tui Tahana, aged 41, married, with seven children, address Rotoiti, was charged that at Taupo on July 1, he was without lawful excuse, but not with intent to commit a crime, on unoccupied premises owned by Vcra Pickering. For the Police, Conatable W. D. Mills stated that accused was found asleep in the dining room of the cottage, which was si-vatel on the RiHe Range Road. When arrested he was under the influence of liquor. It appeared that the premises had not been securely fastened. Tahana was convkted and fined £5.
