Mrs K. Reid has returned home after a fortnight's stay in Auckland. While away, she was the guest of Mrs G. Brassey, who will be remembered as Mr and Mrs G. P. Reid's eldest daughter "Gertie." Mrs Brassey who is an accomplished pianist and dressmaker, has now turned ler talents to another sphere. Designing and cutting shirts at her factory in Parnell. * * * » Recent guests at Mount View Flats were: Misses P. Sullivan, C. Dorman and E. Harrutt, Australia; Mr and Mrs W. G. Flavell, Thames; Mr and Mrs I. Reynolds and family, Mr and Mrs E. A. Marsh and family, Mr and Mrs J. A. Benseman and son, Te 3uke; Mr and Mrs V. P. Cowen and :amily, Te Aroha; Mr and Mrs L. A. Orr and Raewyn, Walton;; Mrs Chambers and family, Mrs Hay and family and Mrs Hancock, Miss Pauline Whyte and party, Auckland; Mr and Mrs W. Morrison, Hamilton; Mr and Mrs Hadfield, snr., Paraparaumu; and Miss Beverley McQuillan, Napier. Mrs A. Watson, and Mr and Mrs Aangmuir paid a visit to Taupo, last week-end. Their daughters returned lorne with them after spending the school holidays with Mrs J. W. Peart. In a five-bird eye-opener shooting match with the Invercargill Gun Club at Grassmere recently (21 entries), Mrs C. Lane, of Turangi (Taupo Country), was one of nine competitors who scored possibles. 4
