Rotorua Electorate The new bcundaries as finally defined by the Electoral Representation Commission were gazetted on Friday last, May 9th, as follows:— All that area comprising the Borough of Rotorua, the Town District of Taupo, the County of Rotorua, the Tokoroa Riding of the County oi Matamata, part of the Lichfield Riding of the County of Matamata, part of the County of Taupo. The first meeting of the National Party Branch of the new Rotorua electorate was held in the Centennial Hall, Ngongotaha, on Saturday, may lOt'h, when the following delegates frorn the Taupo Branch were present: Messrs J. D Swan, chairman; W. Evans, vice-chairman; Miss R. McKelvie, seeretary; Mesdames H. N. Colbeck, W. Mika, Miss J. Branson, Messrs T. Couper, I. Logan, J. F. O'Toole, T. Price and K. Young. The meeting was opened at 10.30 a.m. by Mr Alexander, chairman of the South Auckland Division. The first business was the election of officers and the following were elected to the committee of the new Rotorua Electorate: — Chairman, Mr E. C. East, Rotorua. Deputy Chairman, Mr K. N. Usmar, Rotorua. Seeretary and Treasurer, Mr Leo Jackson, Rotorua. Organiser, Mr W. T. Bridgeman, Rotorua. Efcecutive Committee: Mrs Martelli, Reparoa; Messrs Brook-Murray, Ngakura; J. Butler, Mangakino; Hughes, Atiamuri; Kendall, Tbkoroa; Robinson, Ngongotaha; M. Scoles, Mamaku; T. Smith, Kakaroa; J. D. Swan, Taupo; D. Civil, Rotorua, Junior Branch. The* following were elected to re« present the Rotorua Electorate as delegates to the South Auckland Division of the Party:— Mrs Martelli^ Reparoa; Messrs E. C. East, Rotorua; L. Jackson, Rotorua; Murray, Ngakuru; J. D. Swan, Taupo; K. L. Usmar, Rotorua. At the Dominion Conference of the National Party in Rotorua on July 28th and 29th, the following delegates will represent the Rotorua Electorate: Mrs Kendall, Messrs East and Jackson. The meeting then discussed finance and received remits etc. The proceedings closed with an addr'ess by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. W. Sullivan. National Party Club The National Party Club in Rotorua is situated in Eruera Street, and its amenities are open to all party members and friends accompanying them. It comprises £ well appointed lounge, kitchen, and reading and. writing room. Morning and afternoon teas and luncheons are served. Both Lounge and reading room are available for evening meetings. A warm welcome is extended to all Taupo visitors to Rotorua. The membership fee is a minimum of one guinea, which entitles families to the club^ amenities.
