AN UNLUCKY TROUT
Trolling in deep water some four hundred yards off-shor'e opposite the Lake Front Garage, Mr Owen Wright, of Taupo, took a brown trout weighing nine >and a half pounds. The fish was a jack, and measured twentfcr seven inches in length and sixteen and a. quarter inches in giilbh. Brown trout are rarely taken trolling, and this one was taken at eight-thirty p.m. Mr Wright was using a silver and red spoon. The date was the thirteenth, obviously not unlucky for Mr Wright, though the views of the fish are unknown on this point.
