Sir, —The suggestion in last week's issue of the "Times" that some provision he made for an all-the-year-round swimming bath in Taupo is one that should be taken up serio-us-ly. Not only would this be of great benefit to the community, and visitors, but it could eventuate that aquatic sports could be held here, and Taupo with its natural beauty and natural resources would have the publicity it deserves. I am certain that if this matter were put to a vote by the public, an all-out majority would be the result. The establishment of a swimming club in laupo might be a step towards the creating of a civic pride which is sadly lacking at present. — I am, etc,,
