.After a period of almost complete inactivity since the spectatcular eruption of 1949. Ngauruhoe has again shown signs of re-awakening. The latest shots, no doubt, had something to do with the earth tremours felt in the Taupo region a week ago last Sunday, and may be the prelude to a burst of activity comparable to that of February, 1949.
