Mr and Mrs G. W. Johns, who for many years managed Brent's Hotel in Rotorua, and are now in charge of the Grand Pacifie Hotel at Suva, Fiji, are spending some months on vacation in New Zealand. They will spend part of their holiday term in Taupo. Mr Johns is known to many as a keen angler, and a competent artist in watercolours. It is his intention, if time permits, to hold an exhibition of his work before leaving. Mrs W. L. Duckett, of Wellington, and her daughter, Diana, are spending a holiday in Taupo as the guests of Miss K. 0. Lewis. Mrs S. Clarke, Mr and Mrs D. Baker and family, Captain and Mrs M. Stanley, all of Auckland, are at present visitors to Taupo, as guests of Miss E. Rickit. Mr and Mrs J. Fortune have left Taupo to take up residence in Nelson. Mr and Mrs R. H. Le Pine, who have been holidaying at their Taupo retreat over the Christmas and New Year season, returned to their home in Napier on Friday last.
