To the disappointment of many, there was no summer flower show in Taupo this year. The summer was. late in arriving. The spring: had jbeen protracted, and for Taupo usuially wet. The Committee of the Taupo Horticultural Society were re- I \iuctantly eompelled to consider the ] situation arrising from the fact that 1 exhibitors had no gladioli ready for fdispiay, and that all gardens were flate, and decided to cancel the show which had originally been scheduled for January 10.
