St. JOHN AMBULANCE
In a report kindly supplied by the Hon. Sec. of the St. John Ambui lance Association (Miss A. Webringo), it was stated that since the ambulance car was taken over on October 6 last, it had carried patients to the Rotorua Hospital on 28 occasions. The car is manned by voiunteer drivers and attendants of the St. John Ambulance Brigade, which is appealing for more n^embers. At the annual meeting of the Association on November 25 last, a vote of thanks was accorded MT Harris of the South Auckland Centre, and to the Centre, for the cooperation and assistance rendered which enabled Taupo to obtain its ambulance. Officers and committee for the year ending October 31 next are as follows: — IPresident, Captain G. Burge. Vice-presidents, Dr Thomas, Colonel Swan, Messrs T. Price, Alec Smith, E. T. Smith and H. Minett. Chairman, Mr W. Stevens. Deputy-chairman, Mr W. L. Fulljames. Secretary, Miss A. Webringo. Treasurer, Mr Wright. Auditor, Mr Duthrie. Committee, Miss K. O. Lewis, the Bev. Johnston, Messrs G. Fraser, and W. Arnold. Brigade representative on the committee, Mr Crickett. The Taupo iSt. John Amjbulance Brigade needs more members. No more than a reminder should be necessary. The Brigade is worthy of support for its good work.
