Peers are addressing election meetings. Lords Camperdown and Kesterven have spoken against Lords Sheffield and Lyveden for the Government. _ Mr Balfour will shortly issue his manifesto. London, December 9. R. K. McKenna, First Lord of the Admiralty, in a speech at Farnworth said in his opinion Lancashire was the pivot of the political situation. If Palantine sent back the same stalwart band of Liberals the victory of the people would bo won. Lancashire had the reputation of thinking to day what England will think to-morrow.

C. F. A. Masterman, speaking at Hcrlesden, said he would support any candidate whether Liberal Labour, or Nationalist, provided he was with the people and against the Lards.
