A SENSATION 1 ARREST OF LEADERS ' ‘ CHARGED WITH CONSPIRACY POLICE ON THE SCENE * NO VIOLENCE SHOWN Sydney, December 5 ; J Seventy police were sent from Sydney to Newcastle last night. Messrs Bow ling and Brennan, the secretary of the Colliery Employees' Federation travelled by the same train. A large crowd was at the station ft welcome them. Shortly after their arrival the police arrested Messrs Bowling and Brennatf on a charge of conspiracy. Later Mr Burns, the treasurer o the Amalgamated Coal Shale Worker! was arrested. Large crowds followed the arrested] to the lock-up. There was some, hustling and hooting, but no violence. - : m
