Mr D. N. McKenzie will conduct service to-morrow evening in the Te Aroha West School. Service will begin at 7.30 p.m. During Father McGuinnoss’ closing remarks at the C mvent High School c nicert, he referred to the work done in the Convent School, where the pupils were taught their duty to the Creator, and from the time they first entered the School, they were taught morality. He referred to the injustice done by Municipalities in compelling schools to pay rates. Should the schools ho closed it would cost the country an enormous sum for the tuition of the extra children in the State Schools. The wishes of the late Fremiers Seddon and Ballauce were not being complied with by tho Municipalities in the direction of non-taxation of Catholic Schools.
