[DANGER POINT PASSED

Capetown, November 8. , Lord Selbourne (High Commissioner for South Africa), speaking at a banquet at Buluwayo, said that many large and important questions in connection with South African Union still required settlement, but the danger point had been passed.

Rhodesia, he said, would not enter the Union until South Africa, the Rhodesians, and the Chartered Company agreed that the time was ripe. When that time arrived the Imperial Government would give the utmost afsistance.
