The following tenders were dealt with at the Piako County Council meeting yssterday : No. 9—Cutting the ti-tree off about 90 chains of the Waiorongomai-Mauugakawa Road on the west side of the Waitoa River : Armstrong and Davis 9s Gd per chain, Gray and Lupis 3s Id, P. D. Henderson 2s Bd, W. Wright (accepted) 2s. No 14—Penning and grading about 40 chains of Scotchman’s Valley Road : P. Farrington (accepted) £79. No 12—Forming and grading 12 chains of the approaches to the Piakoiti Bridge : Stanley Bros. £94, W. Brenan (accepted) £7G 10s.
No 18—Forming and grading about 30 chains at Walton-Kiwitahi Road, at opposite G. Morris Mason’s property : Jno. Middleton £lls, Stanley Bros. £9B 15s, Smallman Bros£9B, W. Brenan (accepted) £95.
Fresh tenders are to be called for Contracts Nos, 5 and 16.
