Waihou Tennis Club

The annual meeting of the above Club was held in the Waihou Hall on Tuesday evening. There was a good attendance, and Mr E. J. Weir occupied the chair. Miss E. M. King, secretary, read the annual report and balance-sheet, the latter showing that there was a small credit balance. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: — Patron, Mr W,H. Herries, M.P.; president, Mr R.. ,G. Lewis; vicepresident, Mr H. Magill; secretary and treasurer, Mr E. J. Wear. A hearty vote of thanks, moved by Mrs Taylor, to Miss King for her past services as secretary to the Club, was carried by acclamation. The meeting closed with the usual vote of thanks to the chair.
