An Abduction Case.

A FATHER’S TRIALS.

Masterton, October 29. • At the S.M. Court this morning Alfred Charles Warren was committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court at Wellington on a charge of the abduction of a ten*' year old boy. * The father of the boy stated in evidence that the wife had left with the accused, taking the three children with her. The complainant obtained a divorce order for the custody of the children and took the children to a boarding-house at Metiere, on the Main Trunk line. The accused and the mother of the children appeared one morning, forc'ed open the window, dragged the boy out, and drove him away. Bail was allowed in self of £IOO.
