A Shakespeare Memorial

London, October 24 An enthusiastic meeting arranged by the Shakespeare Memorial Committee, was held in Mansion House on Satuiday. It was decided to appeal to the nation for half-a million sterling for the purpose of founding a national theatre. Of a total £IOO,OOO to be devoted to the purchase of a site; £150,000 to the erection of a building and the remaining quarter of a million to remain as an endowment.
