Disastrous Cyclone
Calcutta, October 19. A cyclone wricked G*»alanda and other eastern Bengal stations. Many river steamers and a great number of native craft were sunk. It is feaied that a number of Europeans were killed, while the loss of life to tl e native population has been heavy. No details are available owing to the destruction of the telegraph lines in the area affected by the storm.
