Lady Sovereign has had a very extended and most successful show ring career, having won prizes in many of the principal show rings of Victoria and New South Wales, including Corawa, Waugaiwtta, Rutherglen, Albury, Yarawonga ado'others. She has also proved a great succdffcat the stud. Chief Commander is a big, well-fur-nished horse standing nearly 17 hands, and is proportionately built, having great depth of body and splendid symmetry.all over. Legs and hair of tip-top quality, and possessing the very best of feet. A nicer horse to handle cannot be found. His temperament is perfection itself. He was selected and imported from Victoria, as, owing to his great size and ctrength, and h s breeding giving fresh strains of blood, he was considered a most suitable addition to the list of sires in Waikato, and he has proved the confidence well placed, as his stock for the past two years gained the principal honours at the Waikato Central Show. He is a most popular horse in the district he has travelled, which is the very best recommendation a sire can have.
