Manawaru Co-Op. Dairy Company, Ltd.
At the general meeting of shareholders, held on Tuesday evening at Manawaru, to confirm the previous resolution to amalgamate with the Thames Valley Co-Op. Dairying Company, the final resolution to join was carried unanimously and the Paeroa Company takes possession of the Manawaru factory and the Woodville Creamery from Ist September, the Manawaru Dairy Coy. only remaining in existence for the purpose of liquidation. The payment for the two properties at Manawaru and Wardville, land, buildings, and machinery, will be £1,500 in instalments spread over one year. The shareholders who have been supplying the Manawaru Company will take shares in the Paeroa Company, and new shareholders are joining now ; it is a case of a strong company instead of a weak one. Every resolution put at the meeting was carried unanimously, there being no opponent present the proceedings were exceedingly cordial, and a vote of thanks was carried to Mr Geo. Farmer and Mr McLaren, who had twice visited Paeroa, and had conducted the negotia tions to a satisfactory issue.
