Spies in France
Paris, September 2, It is reported in Paris that documents relating to the mobilisation of the French army are missing from headquarters at Chalons. General Durand declares that the district swarms with German spies, disguised as labourers, tramps and trade assistants, while German women are continually crossing the Frontier. Whenever he made a tour of inspection another motor car followed filled with German officers.
