Trinity College Musical Examinations.
TE AROHA RESULTS. The Trinity College Musical examinations. in connection with the Convent of Mercy, Te Aroha, i have been completed by Mr Henry St. George, of Trinity College, London, the visiting examiner, and resulted as follows : Senior Grade.—Pass, Lilian Spooner, 60. Intermediate Grade.—Pass, Kate McGruer. Junior Grade.—Pass, Eva Grice, 70 ; Ethel Hopkins, 67 ; Pearl Bygrave, 65 ; Aileen McGill, 63. Preparatory Grade.—lsa Frith, 74 ; Nona Stanley, 73; Doris McGlashan, 69. In the evening Mr St. George gave a recital on the piano and violin to the Sisters and Pupils of the Convent High School, playing amongst other items Beethoven’s 3 ; Sonata opus 31 ; Elegie Erast (Violin) ; “ Reverie ” (Viol d’ amour) 5 “ Gavotte ” ( Viol d’amour) • /.Dance (violin); Ave Maria Arcadeldt, (vicl d’amour), which was a rare treat for the listeners.
