THE PROPOSED CARNIVAL.

(To the Editor) Sir, —The requisition to convene a meeting has been signed by a large number of business people, and I am sure if I had the time to wait on the rest of them I would not have had a refusal. I have had numerous inquiries locally as to what form, etc., the Carnival will take. The only reply I can give is for the inquirers to come along to the meeling, and their suggestions will have due consideration. If you are a bowler, tennis player, musician, in fact, if you or others have a hobby, advocate a tournament that apappeals to you. There are hundred and one competitions that we can run. Trusting that we will have a crowded meeting, I am, etc., Thos. Donovan.
