Manawarn Notes.
(From a Correspondent.)
The ladies here are very active at present getting ready for the sale of work on behalf of the Anglican Church.
The supply of milk to the New Zealand Dairy Association’s Creamery is improving very much. Cows are coming in, and there seems plenty of feed, especially about the township. Mr John Ward has again the contract for the cartiug of cream at the Creamery. Jack Frost has paid us a visit this week, being pretty severe. Every one is anxiously waiting to hear if our Co-op Butter Factory is to be taken over by another Company. There is not room for two.i
The many friends of Mr Ryan will be pleased to hear that he is on the mend, after his recent severe illness in Auckland.
The opening of our new Hall is to take place at an early date.
