A Launch Disaster.

FIRE ON BOARD.

London, August 10. Alan, son of the late Sir James Fergusson, quitted Creertrui, Scotland, in a motor launch with his wife, J. Friends, and chaffeur.

A fire caused by the upsetting of the oil stoves, used for cooking forced the party to take to the water with lifebelts, two miles from the shore.

Fergus son, his wife, and the chaffeur were drowned. Iriends was saved.
