Mr Samuel Barry, the well-known eyesight specialist, of Auckland, will be in Te Aroha on Thursday, August ’26th, and may be consulted at the Palace Hotel.
A meeting of the members of the Te Aroha Football Club will bo held tomorrow (Wednesday) evening, in the Grand Hotel sample room at 7.30 o’clock, when the question of cup presentation, etc., will be discussed, Brigadier Glover gives one of his interesting addresses in the Methodist Church to-morrow evening.
The Waitoa roads, more especially No. 1, are in a disgraceful state. Something must be done soon. Mackie and Sons’ sale was well attended last Saturday. People make money by putting in an hour oi so at these sales. Interesting and instructive pruning and spraying exhibition by Government Inspector at Mr A. Bosson’s orchard to-morrow.
The ordinary meeting of the Piako County Council will be held at the Council’s office, Te Aroha, on Tuesday, the 17th inst., at 10.30 a.m.
Mr T. G. Sarjornt for many years connected with the Fiozen Meat and Dairy Produce Export Tiad sat Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, latterly with the Auckland Farmers’ Fleecing Com-
pany, has been appointed Secretary to the Northern Wairoa Dairy Company at Mangawhare, near Dargaville, and takes up his new duties at the end of this week.
