Chinamen Fight with Axes.
Reefxon, July 9. An affray between two Chinamen occurred this morning. Ah Ben and iLue Soo, two inmates of one hut, were found cutting at each other with axes. Ah Ben had his skull fractured, and was badly cut about, but when a neighbour came in Lue Soo was underneath and Ah Ben cutting at him. Lue Soo says Ah Ben woke him up by hitting lmu with an axe. Ah Ben afterwards collapsed, and was taken to the hospital. Lue Soo was charged with assault and remanded. Ah Ben’s wounds are no t considered likely to prove fatal.
