Excessive Motor Speed

Christchurch, July 9. The police have entered upon a crusade against excessive speed by motors on tho streets aud roads. Another case was before the Court to-day, when Dr. Diamond was lined 20s and costs for riding at a speed dangerous to the public safety on Sumner road. The ease received a lengthy hearing. Mr Hasolden. S.M., said the difficulty was that motorists had one standard of speed aud the public another. Arthur Hensmann was also fiued 20s for a similar offence.
