Road to Power House.

REPORT OF ENGINEER,

At the last meeiing of the Ohinemuri Comity Counc 1. the Eu< ineer reported as follows :—“ With reference to a letter received from the Te Aroha Borough Council asking that this Council take the necessary steps to have a road taken fi'-'in the present County road to their power station, which is situated in this County, seeing that this road would be of little benefit to anyone at present, other tban the Te Aroha Borough, and the land through which it is proposed that it should go is Native land, I would suggest that your Council take the necessary steps to have the road taken, and do what iittle repairs are necessary providing that the Te Aroha Borough pay all compensation for the land, also legal and other expenses attached to the taking of same.” Mr Nathan moved that a road to the power house at Te Aroha be obtained if the Te Aroha Borough Council pay the expenses incurred, and the cost of maintenance for five years. This was carried.
