Miners' Conference at Home

London, June 29. A conference representing 15,600 miner* to day resolved that the master’s proposals for working the mines under the Eight Hours Act was not acceptable. If the masters j persist in their present attitude, the conference will request the miner s federation of Britain to proclaim a National strike. Notices issued to the men expire on Thursday. The position is almost equally critical in Scotland. -
