The Sculling Championship.
DECIDED TO-MORROW.
Wang/nui, June 21. There is nothing new to report in connection with the championship sculling match, which takes place tomorrow. The weather now is beautifully hoe, after the frost last night, and promises to bo flue to-morrow. A large number of visitors arrived on Saturday and to-day. Though, the interest is not as great as in former races, still there will be a big crowd to witness what promises to be a great struggle. Both champion and challenger have finished their heavy work, and will content themselves with a few hundred yards now till the contest. The champion, visited yesterday, told an interviewer that he was satisfied ho was ia very good fettle, and was confident he could win. Webb appears to be in the pink ot condition. He says he feel 3 quite as well as ever he has done, adding that he is sculling as fast, if not faster, than ever.
[The result of the race will be is* l sued to-morrow evening immediately on receipt of telegram.—Ed News ]
