Turnip Growing Competition

THE RESULTS Tut; above competitor, arranged by the To Arolia A. and H. Society, created a g >od deal of interest, and the result has ben most gratifying. A prize of £lO was awarded the best five-acre patch. The onerous duties of judge were entrusted to Mr D. Cavanagh, of Ohaupo. Mr Cavanagh carried out his duties in a p instaking manner. He expressed the opinion that tbe crops in this district conuinr' most favourably with the crops in the Waikato. There were 18 entries and the judging took three days. The awards were ns follows :
