WEDDING.

NASH-HOLDEN.

A wedding which created a good deal of local interest was solemnised at St. Mark’s Church by the Rev- P. Cleary at noon yesterday. The contracting parties being Miss Glady’s Mae Holden, eldest daughter of Mr L. Holden, and Mr E. O. Nash, both of Te Aroha. The bride looked very becoming in white taffeta silk prettily trimmed with lace (120 years old), and Irish crochet (the work of the bride’s another); she wore a long trained skirt, and cariied a most beautiful bouque f . She wore the customary wreath and veil. The two bridesmaids, the Misses Kathleen and Marjorie Holden, sisters of the bride, wore prettily made white silk dress, and pretty sea green hats. The presents to the bridesmaids were gold bangle and gold locket, set with amethyst and pearls. Mr 11. G. Luxford ac'cd as best man and Mr S. Hanna as groomsman. The Wedding March was nicely 'played by Miss Mabel Maingay. The church was appropriately decorated for the occasion. The happy couple received numerous j costly and handsome presents. j The newly-weddcl couple left by the afternoon train for Auckland, en route for Wellington, w r here the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling dress was a dark green tailor-made costume, with pretty green hat.

Quite a number sat down to the wedding bieakfast at Mr and Mrs Holden’s residence, Bridge-street. The customary toasts w:ere given and respouded to. The party were photographed by Mr Bilclier.
