NOTICE is hereby given that a ’OLT. of the RATEPA YERS of the Vaitoa Drainage District will be aken on SATURDAY, the 26th' day f June, 1909, upon the proposal of he Waitoa Drainage Board to borrow rom the Minister of Finance, under >art 2 of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans let, 1908 ; ” a special loan for the indermentioned works : 1. The construction of a drain beween Eastport Road and the Waitoa River, discharging into the said River. 2. The construction of a drain, tommeneing from the Waitoa River it the mouth of the Ohine Stream, ind continuing in a southerly direc tioD through Section 8. 3. The construction of a drain along No. 1 Road from the boundary of Crown lands to Section 1 (connecting with promised outlet through Crown Lands into the Waitoa River). 4 The construction of a drain along No. 7 Road from the boundary of Crown lands (connecting with promised outlet into the Piako River) to the southern boundary of Section 59. 5. The Construction of drains to the west of No. 7 Road, emptying into above outlet through Crown laids, and into the Piako River or the Waiharakeke stream. The sum proposed to be borrowed is £6009, and the proposed Security for the Loan is a special annual recurring Rate for 41 years of 5-6ths of aPonny in the Pound upon the capital value of the rateable value iu the Waitoa Drainage District. Such will provido interest at 31 per contum per annum, which being paid for the period aforesaid, pays off the Loan and is the provision for repayment thereof. It 13 proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the same and the interest for the first year. The Polling Booth will be at the Schoolhouse, Waitoa.
