The Church and Labour.
Melbourne, June 9. Archbishop Clarke has declined the request of the Labour Council that the Churches set apart Labour Sunday for sermons devoted to social and economic questions, on the grounds that the judfment of the Church upon the whole question is contained in the diocesan report, and the whole annual commemoration of the Christian faith and duty is ffet forth in the prayer book.
