Waikato Presbytery.

The usual meeting of the Waikato Presbytery was held in St. Andrew’s Church, Hamilton, on Thursday, June 3rd. There was a good attendance of delegates, Rev. T. Scott, M.A. presided. Assembly remits on the subject of Aged and- Infirm Ministers Fund, Widows and Orphans, Augumenta tion of Stipend, and Representation at Assembly were discussed, It was idecided to fix the terms of moderatorship of Presbytery at twelve months, the terras to end at the first meeting in December. An application for increased powers regarding Sacraments, etc, was received from Mr Brown, of Frankton. Decision on the applica* tion was postponed until the next meeting of Presbytery. Reports were given from the Home Mission stations of Whakatane Te Puke, Katikati, Hikutaia, Mata* raata, Huntly, and Te Kuiti. Rev. T; Scott reported regarding the meeting, held in Christchurch, for the appointment of a successor to the late Professor Dunlop. Other business having been transacted, the Presbytery adjourned until the first Tuesday of August, when it will meet at Cambridge.
