French.—Agents are anxious to get b tyers on to these, as the quantity will rapidly increase. Prices have been reduced Gd per dozen rn fresh (unsnlted) rolls, 4s per cwt on salt baskets, and os per cwt on nnsalted.

Australian. —The s.s “ Ortona ” has arrived, and the smell from the tipples has again got iDto the butter Chamber. Qhp damage is in this instance only slieht. Market is steady for finest. New Zealand. -Finish is steady and clearing, but brands indifferent in flavour are neglected. Cheese (New Zealand).—A steady consumptive demand. Coloured are not quite so firm in price as when last advised.
