! Rio de Janeiro. May 18. The White Star, liner Corinthic, bound from New Zealand to London, went ashore at the Witch’s Rock in Rio harbour. when leaving port to-day. She remained on the rocks for sev ral hours, but on the rising tide was eventually towed off. A survey proved that the damage sustained was not serious, and after a brief delay tho liner resumed her voyage.
