An Unusual Sight.
A peculiar phenomena was noticed in the western sky yesterday evening in the shape of a large luminous meteoric like body travelling slowly towards the west and gradually sank on the horizon. At intervals it would brighten up considerably in appearance. It was very much larger than any comet, but had no tail.
