London - . May 16. George 1 Brown, fa collier of Conisburgh, Yorkshire, who has been out of work for 11 months, attempted the murder of his eight sleeping children by turning on the g°s in the room, after closing the windows and doors. Ho then committed suicide. The children, whon discovered, were almost asphyxiated, and are still in a serious condition, but will probably recover.
