The Te Aroha p ayers were treated right royally during their visit to the Goldfields’ district.
Tenders are invited by the Ohinemuri County Council for forming portion of the Paeroa-Waitoa Road and erect ng a bridge thereon, ami for forming and improving portion of the road from Waitekauri to the Durbar Mine. Tenders close at two o’clock on Thursday next. Recently a Masterton resident had a valuable gold locket and chaiu stolen from his house. The missing property had been given up for lost, but it was returned in a small box, and attached thereto was a slip of paper containing the following words :—“ Very sorry we took this.”
