Easter Manœuvres.
REGIMENTAL ORDERS. The 2od Regiment of the Auckland Mounted Rifles assemble at Morrins j ville on Thursday, Srh, f r Camp. The following Regimental **r ers have just been issued by LieutenantCol ml Alleu Beli, Comriuinding : Assembly.— The various Squadrons of the Regimer t will assemble at the Racecourse, MorrinsvilL, on Thursday, Bth April, atopm. Marching and Entrainment. —The “ A,” “ B,” and “D ” Squadrons will assemble at their respective headqu uterp, and march direct, to c imping ground “E ” Squadron will march to Frankton Junction, where it will entiam for Morrins ville. The respective troops of the il C ” Squadron will assemble for entrainment at Te Kuiti, Otorohanga, and Te Awamutu stations at a time which will be notified by telegram later. All troops to be ready at s'atiors 30 minutes before time fixed for departure
Trucks and Carriages. —The O.’sC. “ C ” and *' E ” Squadrons will at once notify the Adjutant of the number of trucks and carriages which they will require at the various stations enumerated. Kits and Baggage. —A minimum of baggage must be brought, and so rolled nr placed in kit hags as to lessen field transport. Portmanteaux or boxes must not be used. Officers to limit tbeir baggage accordingly. Supply. —The Regiment will be rationed by the District Staff from a supp y depot to be established. The Regimental Quartermaster will indent through A. Q M. G. for supplies Indents are to ho delivered at headmasters ea r li day by 8 p.m. The greatest care is to be taken in the matter of supply, and the regulations regarding interior economy under this heading strictly odhered to. Cooking —A Regimental cook has been engaged, cost of which ,wi 1 be borne by the various Squadrons present. A hot meal vt ill be provided at Ricecourse on Thursday evening.
Allowances. —lt must be clearly understood that if the Regiment attends with le c s than one-half its enrolled strength, only those Squadrons who attend with halfstrength will be granted pay in accordance with Regulation 393, published in Regimental Order 11/09. All troops will have free rations and forage, whether attending halfstrength or not. Shelter Outposts. — Waterproof sheets and bivouac shelters will be issm d from Defence Stores.
Orders. —Officers will keep copies of all orders they may issue or receive in the field in connection with any operation, and forward same to the Intelligence Officer. Time of Retuhn. Squadrons will leave camp for their respective headquarters at a time to be notified later.
Dress.—’* Marching Order.” Squadrons coming from and returning to their respective hendquartfrs may earn a paid daylight paiade provided they comply with the Regulations.
