The timber train which arrives here at 9 30 a in from Putaruru. was delayed on Monday and despatched with the one o’clock mixed train which leaves here- for Auckland. The engine broke down on the curved bridge and had just sufficient weight to carry it over the bridge, Repairs weie effected and the train left as above stated. A meeiingof the Saleyar s Trustees was held on Wednesday, in connection with the sale of the old saleyards sections. As bunny is on the incroaso in parts of the district aud there is a good demand for trapped rabbits in Auckland, two local residents are trying heir luck at that occupation.
