At a meeting of the Directors of the Te Aroha District Co-operative Dairy Company, held on Saturday evening last a report was received from the Executive who recently visited the Okauhia district at the request of the settlers, to r. insider the advisability or otherwise of opening a creamery in the neighbourhood. The majority of the Directors favoured the proposal, and, after certain matters have been attended to a creamery will be erected, in time for next season.

Mr E. E. Gillman, architect, Paeroa. invites tenders (labour only) for the erection of a residence at Paeroa. Professor Silvestor, the famous Mesmerist and ventriloquist, will appear in the Public Hall on Thursday evening. What might have proved a serious accident hapnenedl to Mr Wm- Everitt, one of the painters engaged in painting the Hot Springs Hotel. It appears that one of the ladder rungs gave way with Everitt’s weight, causing him to fall to the pavement below, some 15 feet.
