FARMERS’ ANNUAL VISIT

Hamilton, Tuesday. The annual visit of farmers to the Ruakurajexperimental farm took place to-day, between 200 and 300 visitors from all parts of the Waikato and other districts being present. Messrs E. Clifton, Director of Experimental Stations; Kirk. Government Biologist; Duncan, Stock Inspector in charge, and Dibble, overseer, met the visitors at the farm, and the officers in charge of the various Departments conducted them round the grounds. Great interest was taken in the fine exhibits of sheep, cattle and horses, and in the surprisingly good results achieved in connection with numerous branches of the work. Luncheon was provided at 2 p m., and the gathering was addressed by the member of the Government present, Hon. D. Buddo, who arrived by Wellington express to-day, and presided over the luncheon.
